HOW DOES RELATIONSHIP
COUNSELLING WORK?

Relationship counselling with Charnwood Wellbeing provides a safe, non-judgemental space where your counsellor will guide discussions. They do this by asking a series of questions that prompt you and your partner to speak and listen openly, exploring where the conflict truly originates within your relationship dynamic.

Through this facilitated process, the aim is to help you reach acceptance and a deeper understanding of each other's thoughts and feelings about what is causing conflict, moving towards mutually acceptable solutions. While it's always encouraged for all parties to attend at some point, you can also attend alone to understand your own feelings and develop new strategies. Counselling is usually held weekly for 6-8 weeks, allowing most issues to be addressed, with options for longer-term 'health checks' to maintain connection.
